Burma's tragedy from the inside

Two Burmese stories. That of Then Khin, who lost 15 family members when Nargis swept through, and his 29-year-old grandson, who has gone insane, wandering day and night through the fields looking for his wife and son, both of them swept away by the furious floodwaters that came with the cyclone. And that of Thaung Tan, a village made up of 250 houses where only six of them are still standing—that is to say all that is left to shelter the 1,000 or so people who survived the cyclone.
