Weren't They a Bunch of Assassins?

Hypocrisy Watch: as everybody knows, Osama bin Laden was killed by SEAL Team Six, officially known as Naval Special Warfare Development Group or DevGru. Yet, when GW Bush was president the media called them “Cheney’s assassination squad.” Now that a Democratic President has employed them to take out Osama bin Laden a lot of things seem to have changed

  1. No problem when the Democrats order it, especially in view of the importance of the trophy and the election campaign. Your point may have been overlooked in the rush. Had they thought of it they could have invented another squad name for the occasion.

But let's not demean the importance of this accomplishment, however it was done and whatever special force team carried it out. The world is a better place another tyrant less, especially when this one was as bad, if not worse, than Genghis Khan.

Maybe this is the real reason why the US government has been so overly generous with Pakistan these past two years or so. It's been a sort of 'we pay you for the privilege of attacking you' arrangement.
No doubt the ISI knew where OBL was all along. It's doubtful that they would have sold him, but who knows? Times are rapidly changing.

I heard that the Arch-Bishop of Canterbury, who conducted the marriage ceremony between 'Kate and William', said that he 'had an uneasy feeling about OBL's being unarmed when he was assassinated'. Would this suggest that he would have felt less uneasy if OBL was armed when he was shot to ribbons?
As the Arch-Bishop of Canterbury thinks that the UK should make a gesture by adopting a measure of Sharia law, one could have uneasy feelings about him as well..
