Italy's new government (updated)
Italy's new women ministers: Giorgia Meloni, Maria Stella Gelmini, Mara Carfagna, and Stefania Prestigiacomo [Reuters]
Here is Italy's 60th government since the proclamation of the Republic. The executive (see here a list of the ministers), lead by Silvio Berlusconi, is made up of 12 full ministers and nine without portfolio, for a total of 21, four less than the outgoing Centre-Left government of Romano Prodi. The ministers will be sworn today in the afternoon and a vote of confidence is expected in the Lower House on Wednesday.
